About HESCO

Area Electricity Board (AEB) Hyderabad was one of the eight AEB's constituted through amendments in WAPDA Act during 1981. Later on Government of Pakistan approved revamping of WAPDA power sector in April 1998, resultantly twelve corporate entities were formed, Eight Distribution Companies (DISCOs), one National Transmission and Distribution Company (NTDC) and three Generation Companies (GENCOs). Energy Conservation

  • Use only Energy Saver Bulbs
  • Turn off appliances instead of standby
  • Lights off before leaving the Room
  • Use Air-conditioner at 26 C
  • Replace all incandescent bulbs and tube lights with energy savers (CFLs)
  • Turn off lights and all electronics (like computers, televisions, stereos, and video-games) when you leave a room
  • Don�t use electricity unnecessarily during peak hours and make maximum usage of sunlight
  • Washing Machines, Microwaves, Iron, Heater and Geysers should not be used during 6 pm to 10 pm. (Peak hours)
  • Use good quality copper wire in houses, shops, offices and factories etc it wills stop leakages and wastage of electricity.
  • Replace all insufficient irrigation/ water supply motors and pumps with efficient equipment
  • Set the thermostat on your air conditioner as high as comfortably possible.
  • Insulate your roof
